As a Collaborative Coach working alongside family law specialists and financial neutrals, Julia assists parties to reflect on their hopes for the future as they work through their financial settlement, strengthen their co-parenting alliance and reach practical agreements that preserve important relationships and remove the stress of conflict.

Principal and co-founder of Sydney Dispute Resolution, Julia has many years’ experience working with families going through separation and divorce, both in private practice and in the community sector for Relationships Australia and Legal Aid (NSW).

An FDRP and Nationally Accredited mediator, Julia also coaches and assesses candidates for National Mediator accreditation and the Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution at the College of Law and Relationships Australia. Julia also conducts mediations remotely throughout metropolitan, regional and remote areas of NSW as a Conference Chair on the Family Law Early Intervention Panel, Legal Aid (NSW).

Julia has served on the Board of AACP since 2022 and last year was elected Vice President. As board member of CP(NSW), Julia convened CP(NSW)’s Coach Working Party and co-authored the review of Practice Standards and Professional Development of Collaborative Coaches in NSW with Dr Susan Armstrong.
