As the Family Law Partner at Willis & Bowring Solicitors at Miranda in the Sutherland Shire, I really care about the outcome I achieve on behalf of my clients.

I began working in the legal industry in 1995, and have been specialising in family law since 2004, following my admission as a Solicitor in October 2003. In October 20011, I obtained my Law Society Specialist Accreditation highlighting my commitment to this jurisdiction and my skills to offer to people who need my assistance.

I am a trained Collaborative Lawyer, a pathway designed for parties who wish to reach an amicable agreement between them with the assistance of their respective lawyers, as an alternative dispute resolution process. The collaborative process takes places through a series of meetings, in which the needs of both parties and their children are jointly considered to achieve the best outcome for all involved.

With expertise in both financial and parenting matters, I believe that I represent parties with an empathic and sensible approach to ensure that the family law process, which can often be one of emotional turmoil, is resolved in the quickest and by the most cost effective means, as the circumstances will allow. Sometimes, it is not enough just to know the law, sometimes it is the way that problems are addressed that results in my clients being able to finalise the issues between them as quickly and as cheaply as possible.

Whilst I have significant experience resolving disputes involving family structures of trusts, corporate entities and self-managed superannuation funds and have acted in many financial matters, I also have a particular interest in parenting matters and have conducted a large number of matters involving allegations of all forms of family violence, including child abuse. Passionate about assisting clients who are particularly disadvantaged in the breakdown of a relationship, I hold the view that these issues should be raised in the matter as relevant facts following the pathway provided for by the Act.

Consulting a solicitor to seek advice and guide clients through the time of separation should be made as easy as possible for people who are experiencing one of the most difficult periods they will ever go through, and I aim to provide that experience to all my clients.
