Becoming a member of AACP

- Fill out the website registration form on the AACP website
- Once the form is complete, you will need to wait for our team to approve your application
- You will receive an email when you’re approved, prompting you to log in
- Head to your account page and select ‘New membership’ from the sidebar
- Choose the correct membership type, and add your payment details
- If you are paying by bank transfer, choose ‘Manual/Offline’ and you will get payment instructions after submitting the form. You will need to wait for our team to process your membership when payment is received
- If you are paying by credit card, choose the card option and add your information. Your membership will be approved instantly
- If you have a discount code, add it to the ‘Discount Code’ field and click ‘Apply’ to apply the code
- Click ‘Subscribe’. If paying by card your membership is now active and you will get a confirmation on the next screen. If paying by EFT you will receive an email when your membership is active.
- You will need to update your public profile for it to begin showing on the ‘Find a Professional’ listing.
Troubleshooting
- Can’t submit the website registration form? Make sure you have filled out all required fields on all screens. Be sure to use the blue ‘Submit Application’ button at the bottom when you are done.
- Can’t access your account when it’s approved? Follow the directions here.
- Profile not showing on the Find a Professional listing? Be sure your membership is active and that it is set to ‘Make Public’ in the profile editor screen.
Accessing your account
- Head to the log in page here.
- Enter your username or email and password.
Troubleshooting
- Don’t remember your password? Click ‘Reset it here’ on the login page.
- Didn’t receive a password reset email? Check your spam folder, or chat to your IT team about email deliverability.
- Has your email changed? You can still log in using your old email or username.
- Has your email changed and you can’t remember your password? You can get in touch and the AACP team can help you get in.
Renewing your membership

- First, access your website account. Once logged in you’ll see the membership page. You can always access this page later from the navigation bar at the top.
- Head to the ‘Pay/manage membership’ tab. If your membership has 30 days or less before expiration, you will see a ‘Renew’ option. Click on this link.
- Follow the instructions to complete payment for your renewal. If you choose a Manual/Offline payment, you will be taken to a screen with information for making payment.
Troubleshooting
- I can’t access my account. Check the steps and troubleshooting guide above.
- I don’t see a ‘Renew’ link on my membership tab. This will begin showing 30 days before your subscription is due to end.
- The credit card payment form doesn’t show up. Ensure you have third party cookies enabled, and if it still doesn’t show, try a different web browser.
- I made a manual/offline payment and my membership is not active. Our team will need to manually approve your membership when the payment shows up. If this hasn’t happened within 7 days, get in touch.
Updating your public profile

- First, access your website account. Once logged in you’ll see the membership page. You can always access this page later from the navigation bar at the top.
- Head to the ‘Edit public profile’ tab. You can add information here that will appear in your public listing on the AACP website. Be sure to include all details with a blue asterisk as these are required field.
- Preview your profile by clicking on the ‘Preview your profile’ tab. This preview will work even if your ‘Show Public Profile’ setting is ‘Keep private’ — this means you can test it out before you go live.
Troubleshooting
- My profile isn’t showing up on the website. Work through the following steps:
- Ensure your account is currently active. You can check this on the ‘Pay/manage membership’ tab.
- Check that your profile is set to public on the ‘Edit profile’ tab.
- If you are not showing up under one of the search categories (e.g. Area of Law, Collaborative Practice Role, State) make sure you have selected an option for each of these.
- I can’t upload a profile image. If your image is too large, you might need to resize or compress it. You can do this very easily using the browser based Squoosh App.
